The Ten Commandments (1956)

ten-commandments-movie40 days and 40 nights. That’s how long this movie is.

This movie is a classic that should be watched no more or less than once a year. It teaches many lessons, not the least of which is that high altitudes will turn your hair gray at an alarming speed.

This week is the Passover. Obviously it’s a special time for the Jews, but it should be for Christians, too.

Moses told the children of Israel to strike the upper and two side posts of their homes with the blood of a lamb without blemish.

Those who applied the blood of the lamb were spared the fatal consequences suffered by the disobedient. And even as God passed over the children of Israel that night, He will pass over us in the night of judgment if we have faith in the blood of the Lamb.

“For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.” – 1 Corinthians 5:7
